Silly Marine Flashlight

As of Build 223 the marine flashlight is a little silly :-/
1. Todays tactical flashlights are far better, especially when it comes to range. The flashlight should light up more than the aprox 10m they do right now. Its pretty anoying that you cant even light up the ceiling of some rooms to check for skulks there.
2. The cone is allright, just could be devided into two. An outer cone with less brigtness and range (should stay about the same, it is right now) and a small inner cone with more range (50m should be about okay for NS).
3. The Fog is too strong. Sometimes its hard to see through it, when another marine has his light on.
4. I'd like to see a "blinding effect" as in BF3. At least in dark rooms, and maybe a little stronger with alien vision on.

On the exo they work great, because it is like turning the lights back on :P
Disagree with blinding. It's fine as it is, marines don't need more buffs for free over what they have now.
Agree with fog completely. IMO the fog should be decreased in opacity considerably, until it's very faint, or removed altogether. I don't understand what the purpose of it is. If it's to "look cool," it's overdone and it actually hurts visibility instead of helping it, as it's supposed to. In fact, I often hear in voice chat "turn your flashlight off" on the marine team, when it should be the opposite.
If it's to prevent marines from running with the flashlight on 24/7, it's doing a poor job at it by punishing the marine's teammates instead of the marine himself. To prevent or discourage running with the flashlight on 24/7, a simple energy bar is needed like other games (HL2, KF).
Just turn off atmospherics... everyone else does.
yes but as a skulk, i love it was noob marines have their lights on i can tell exactly when they are coming around a corner, some will even have it on when the room is lit :\
an flashlight upgrade for green/red nightvision with a cool tracking for visible(in sight) foes and a crosshair that changes when targeted.

Distance could use a slight buff, but not much.

Looks fine to me, so far.

THIS!!!!!! Why in the world is it almost worse to have multiple flashlights on than better? Why do I get blinded by the haze when someone has a flashlight BEHIND me!? This needs to be fixed because it is ridiculously frustrating and senseless.

$%#@ no. Hell #%$ing no. You want to bring the single most irritating and fun destroying "feature" from BF3 into NS2? Why not blow out the contrast ratio and suck out all the color while we're at it. Or we can add lasers that magically find your pupils if they're pointed anywhere near your body and red out your entire screen. That definitely sounds fun... >:-|

:D
It's not so much the fog I hate, it is more the thing that is hiding behind the fog that I hate :P
