Voice chat volume too low.

I've tried cranking it to max in steam settings just in case, and I turned voice chat volume to max in the game, while turning game sound way down. It's still way too low and I have to consentrate hard to hear people clearly, especially when attacking.

What's wrong?

Edit: I also went snooping around in the options file, and I put voice volume at 150. There was no effect so there's apparantly a hard cap at 100.

I'd appreciate a mic boost option ingame, as well as mute player (permanently if possible) if you don't intend to make votekick/voteban official.

You can mute players just like in many other games by clicking on their speaker symbol on the scoreboard.

I feel like I'm missing something obvious, because none I talk to experience the same problem. Actually, according to a google search, some had the opposite problem!

I have the opposite problem with Mics being far to loud, to the point I had to turn them down to 20% volume.

There is a bug where the voice volume is linked to the sound volume. No matter what you have the voice volume set for, changing the sound volume brings down the voice volume as well. This bug has been around and reported for more than a year and it still hasn't been fixed. Come to think of it, it may have been , and probably was, around since the introduction of voice chat.

Same problem. I can barely hear a word when I'm in combat and someone is talking, pretty frustrating if you're trying to understand orders.
I set voice volume at max and the rest at about 10%, it's not helping.

I suspected it was linked... Thanks for the confirmation.

Frustrating. Let us make some noise and get this fixed? I'm new around here (although I'm a NS1 veteran from long before the combat version), so not much I can do unless someone has any suggestions?
