Low FPS! Please fix!

Like many of the other people on the forums, i'm also getting fps drops when the action gets thick. It makes killing skulks in CQC and lurks in general very hard. I get around 55-60 outside of combat and it drops to 22-25 as soon as the action starts. Skulks can move so quickly and they're impossible to track when they skip around the screen.
The game still runs beautifully, and if it was any other shooter I wouldn't complain, but it's important that you're accurate as marine or you die to skulks.
I lowered my resolution and set graphics on low and it helped a little, maybe an extra 5 fps, but not much.
I have an i5, 8gb RAM and a GTX460 graphics card.
