Anyone else missing the frequent updates of beta?

I am really curious what we can look for in the next build and UWE has been pretty quiet. Would be nice to get a sneak peek. :)

It's been a week. How is that less frequent than Beta updates?

Yea I keep checking the front page expecting it to say b229 released.

Only the last few builds were rapidly released during crunch time, a weekly patch rotation (give or take a few days) suits me just fine as a server OP - I'd rather not have to juggle things around quite as much as we had to during the Beta. So no, i'm happy!

Build releases in the alpha/beta ranged between a day (for quick fixes) to over a month (with the average probably being about 10 days). A week was actually quite quick for the beta.

I know weekly patches were the *goal* for an amount of time, but it was much more reasonable to expect them within 2 weeks of each other.
Plus hell, they have a 100k+seller (without counting gifts, iirc), and they have lots of scrambling, PR, hiring, and all sorts of behind the scenes stuff to do.

Here's a preview video from their main Youtube channel.

Hugh gets some great kills while defending his clog wall.

I still do not have internet thanks to that ###### Sandy making a mess of things. I would be disappointed if I never even get to play the release version.

I prefer less frequent updates with more meaningful content/changes.
It feels like a mini-Christmas, every big NS1 patch felt like that. :3

But yikes, I cringe every time I see Hugh building a clog wall the noob way. For future reference: rather than climbing atop the first layer and begging for a shotgun to the face while you apply the second layer of clogs, stand a meter or so back and aim above the clogs. The one you're placing will position itself on top, and you can step forward or back to line it up without exposing yourself.<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->
