<div class="IPBDescription">DOO DEEE</div>You're playing marines or whatever and you hear that lovely, perfect, amazingly pleasant should be text message sound. You know the one. Do Deeeee! I cannot seem to find this audio file because the file is not found within the obvious audio files in the ns2 directory.

I suppose it is tucked some where in that audio folder where the Russian Federal Security Service files are...

Not sure if this question has already been addressed in a previous post...the search function on this forum is rather...interesting.

Anyways does anyone have any thoughts on how to acquire this amazing sound?? I google'd it and found that 'about' article on how to extract .fsb files and it wasn't much help.

I also dont show these sound effects listed on this site either....

    IIRC, that sound is played on Docking. I would try looking in that particular map's folder. (This is just a guess)

    This is known as the NS1 tooltip sound.

    It is located in one of these files:

    Sound/ambient*.fsb

    The actual sound is called AI_voice_1 and should be located in the docking subdirectory in the FSB package. You can use a program like FSBext to extract the files.     bah, no luck at all with this :( prob doesnt help I am using windows vista which is the anti christ of cmd even in run as admin..I am unable to download fsbext with the fsbext.bat file....the link is dead on the pdf on the bresnan page. the stuff ive found online for fsbext doesnt have a .bat within it..

    bah i miss the days of wav folders for audio files....


    Has anyone been able to do this for this game?
