The last two games were pretty crazy, hard to tell who would win until the very last minutes. No boring stale mates at the end in any of the games.

But than you get even blink or the second upgrade before a 3rd hive. That just didn't make any sense.
Thoroughly entertaining tournament finals! I thought the commentating was awesome and there was plenty of comical moments. Great play for arc and exertus last game was immense. I hope there can be many many more of these kind of streams and as the game evolves and improves they will only get better. Think peak viewer count was around 4k would be awesome to get it to 20k+ in the future. Oh ye... GORGE TUNNELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel these games showed that if aliens lose a tech point they get punished too hard. At least harder than marines who only lose jp and exo. Too much stuff tied to the number of hives and upgrade chambers are too vulnerable to ninjas.

Skulks need to be buffed. And onos needs to be toned down. Not making him weaker. But creating a mechanic, that allows for failures. Onos takes nearly no skill right now. You can just be to aggressive and lose it by overextending. But other than that. It is just a really big tank. With something like bone shield (=invul on most parts of the front) and a reduced health in exchange would make the aliens in late game weaker, if they got unskilled onos.

Nah, that depends. Its all about positioning of the onos. If he is invulnerable at the front-plates (Only two small spots on the legs are vulnerable.) it would take skill to be effective as onos. You would need to know when to attack and when to be careful and facing the marine so he can't do much damage. It's just that you need no skill for the onos now.
It was really an amazing broadcast of these finals but i'd consider the last game as really weird. Excertus had their chance but just wasted the potential of a rush to Shipping with dropping a third hive and losing it.. twice. I guess upgrades like Leap or Bilebomb would have made a better outcome for them.
Fades seem a bit week, they died too often compared to how long the Onii lived. But then again Charlie said their last buff didn't make it into this patch by mistake.
These games confirmed what I hunched. Skulks need a buff. Maybe an upgrade for damage. That or remove marine upgrades. 100 health, 90 armor, and level 3 weapons is too much. Fade is trash as well. At least for 50 resources. And no skulk upgrades do not make up for it. Consider that a skulk takes longer to spawn requiring eggs, and the time wasted when choosing upgrades.

These are just my opinions.
A) If I see a bunch of clogs in a weird place, I'm immediately shooting the hell out of it. Something's under there. If they're in your hive hammering away, clogs are only going to slow it down so much. There's probably only going to be one gorge and clogs could probably be put in a better strategic location. B) Depending on line of sight, hydras on the ground are a tiny bit harder to hit then if they're on a wall. C) Based rush prevention and easy to buy some when assaulting a hive or other location and dropping them for support.

Can't afford to have them sitting in the hive "just in case" b) I don't know the rationale behind that one... But in general hydras seemed to be put in locations where they were bullet sponges for structures. I'm guessing the logic is just that if you want to shoot the node, you have to deal with the hydra first. I think the smartest places for hydras aren't all figured out yet. c) This is absolutely necessary. Base rushes are overwhelmingly powerful in NS2 for aliens. Mines are the only thing you can really do about it.
