NS2 Problems! - Solutions?

Ok so after the wait finally NS2 is here and i recently purchased it.
i LOVE it, its everything i hoped gameplay wise!
BUT
1. 90% of the times i join a server i get disconnected
2. Whenever i join a server that runs the summit map my screen just goes black when i get connected to the server. all i can see is "build 123456" up in the corner.
Can anyone help out with this because i really want to be able to play!

Build 229 is slated to release on Monday, which may fix connection issues.
As for your second point, I suggest trying out Steam's "verify game cache integrity." I'm guessing that NS2_Summit was corrupted during your download.
A: The people who respond there are actually good at this kind of stuff
B: Liars and idiots get removed there
C: You're much more likely to find someone else who had the same issue as you do and was able to fix is (meaning you don't even have to actually post)

Possible answer for #2; Turn off texture streaming in the OPTIONS menu under GRAPHICS.
