Black screen freezing + sounds at launch

Hi ! just bought the game and can't make it work...
I searched for a solution but didn't find any that helped.
When I lauch the game, I hear some noise (probably the editer's jingle or something like this) but the screen stays black... and nothing changes.

My log file :

Date: 11/10/12
Time: 22:54:19
--------------------------------------------------------------
Build 228
Steam initialized
Render Device: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (9.18.13.623)
Sound Device: Haut-parleurs (Realtek High Definition Audio) stereo
Record Device: Microphone (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Loading config://ConsoleBindings.json
Loading config://FavoriteServers.json
Main Menu Initialized at Version: 228

I've reinstalled the game, deleted the appdata and shaders folders, veryfied the game files on steam... but nothing worked.

Any idea ? :/

PS: I just installed the last graphic driver for my GTX 560 Ti, (no new drivers for the sound), reboot, reinstalled the game... and nothing changed.
I don't understand, I have like 300+ games on steam including heavy ones like Skyrim and such, I always play at max graphism options, and Natural Selection 2 won't work... ugh :(

I don't know why this works for me, but I have the exact same problem except when I run the game from the LaunchPad.

It's located on Steam\steamapps\common\natural selection 2. Open the Launch Pad and click on NS2. It works for me.

Try adding NS2.exe to the Data Execution Prevention ignore list. I also did this before trying the Launch Pad thing that might help.

To do this right-click on My Computer, click on Properties.
On the left click on Advanced System Setting. On the Advanced tab click on Setting under Performance. Go to the Data Execution Prevention tab and make sure you have "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:" and add the NS2.exe that is on the same folder as the Launch Pad.

Just did it, then reboot : still doesn't work :/ and no changes in the log file, sadly...

I'm starting to think about a refund, even though I'd prefer playing the game. I spent hours and hours solutions searching on the internet, but nothing helped :(

Try to change some settings on your Graphic card, I have played alround with the settings wich have resulted with different results,

    One setting crash the game
One Setting takes away all texture

If you have any setting on the Graphic Card that are trying to create something that is not in the game it might disable something from the game engine.. If you do not already have it then you could download the program for your Graphiccard that allows you to change stuff.

I do not know if this will fix your problem but it might be worth a try?
