<div class="IPBDescription">A new player has joined the game.</div>Hey guys & gals,
Just thought I'd introduce myself to the community and post some info (which I copied from Veteran forums lol)

- 27/m
- Skill: NS2, zero. If based off FPS experience, high.
- North America (vancouver, canada)
- English
- Microphone: Yep (as long as it still works lol. Havent used it in a fair while)
- Contact: Through forums msg, or my steamID is in my profile.
- Zero NS experience.
- No competitive experience, not by lack of offers, but choice. Since I'm thinking about going competitive here.
- I've been a gamer pretty much since 6yrs old. For those of you who fondly remember the original Nintendo and predecessors :) All single player games untill a friend introduced me to the world of online gaming, namely Counter Strike, which I played for years. Mix in alot of DOD, CS:S and CoD:MW1,2,3. I still play mostly offline games, Ps3/Pc, but I've been looking for a new FPS to get into that was team oriented. Don't worry, I won't run off by myself or be a selfish jerk, I always play as support.
- I'd like to think that I'm a friendly guy and easy to communicate with :)

Other then that, see you in game.

-Silent
(hopefully the tag's not taken lol)

    Since no one sayed anything:
Welcome to the game, altough you say you have lots of experience in FPS, this game is a bit different from other fps currently available.
It may seem overwhelming at first, so its a good idea to read a bit on the web and on the wiki.
Also see the first video from the "tutorial" options in game

    A quick guide to start:

Marines are scary little girls who shoot from way far away and piss their pants when the weapons runs out of ammo.
There's an even more scared marine who hides inside a structure and sees stuff from above, and tells ppl what to do.

Aliens are animal creatures who drool all over the place, and have bad teeth. Also some of them walk on walls and celling and sometimes they also walk on the floor.
There's also an alien that goes into the "big sack of whatver that is" and sees stuff from above. And drops "green poop" all over the place

other then that: Marines kill aliens, aliens kill marines.

    Thanks for the welcome :D

Ya I've been watching streams for the past week to get a little bit familiar with the game. First few games were an eye opener yea for sure. Negative scores lol. But I went around the forums and online looking for tips/tricks/ect, and got back up to above 1/1kdr.

But I'm having a great time just cuz of the TEAMWORK! All the other FPSs I play (as you read) it was pretty much rambo style cuz noone works together :( Hell, loses are fun just because of the "last stand".

One thing I noticed, while playing on Rookie servers, was that Aliens win 80% of the time (I like marines, cuz I don't like melee), and Onos seem a little op at less then 6mins in and Marines might have SGs up and/or Weapon lvl 1. Nades even seem to just tickle Onos.

And no, I don't run out by myself unless I'm asked to try to sneak/cap/push something by the commander.

The big ball-ish ghost welcomes you, good luck and have fun.
I found the game well balanced and win rates quite similar, the metagame is just in favor of the aliens right now. Want a new friend that started playing recently to practice and play with, add PhilkIced on steam. =D
