Problems With Geforce 4 Ti4200

When I play NS it looks fine for a few seconds, and then everything goes twice as bright as it should be. I just bought this GF4, and I didn't have this problem with my Voodoo 3 3000. The problem occurs in D3D and OGL. This problem does NOT occur in CS.

Any suggestions welcome,
Jonathan

    Maybe 32-Bit mode ?

Don't have that good Hardware, so I can't test it.
But the 32 bit mode is the only thing i know thats added to NS that has something to do with graphics.

I upgraded from a Voodoo3000 to a GeForce 4 Ti4200 and, if anything, it got darker. But that is because I had tweaked the Voodoo's gamma. Still, it definetly didn't change anything. Make sure you have the latest drivers.

this isn't a problem with video card. NS automatically adjusts your gamma.

to reset gamma go to ns directory and run resetgamma.exe

Ok, this works...but...Every time NS runs it resets your gamma, so I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL to get out of NS, then go to resetgamma.exe, then I have to go back into NS. But if for some reason NS closes I have to do all that work over again. Any ideas on how to shut off the auto gamma thing?

Thanks for your replies so far,
    Jonathan

In your console, you can type in "gamma". Then it will display your gamma setting number for NS. Try lowering the # by typing in (this is an example) "gamma 3.3".

    (Without the quotes of course)
