What breed could Skulk win at a dog show?

dog skulk
Let's have a discussion for fun. My girlfriend's family breeds and shows Golden Retrievers, so I've had a lot of exposure to dog breed standards, and to be honest the Skulk isn't built too badly for a canine:

So, which breed standard does he match the most closely?
http://www.akc.org/breeds/

My vote is for the German Shepherd Dog, because of the overall size, strong muzzle, and severe angulation of the rear legs:

The Skulk's chest is a bit too small, though.

Other ideas?

No way, pug has zero angles in the rear legs and no muzzle. Also not at all scary.

Did you draw that, Gorgenapper? In that vein, I've been thinking that the NS2 community should try getting an image macro going: A spinoff of the Slowpoke advice animal, but replace Slowpoke with the Gorgie. If you draw then you should give that idea a crack.

    looks kinda like a whippet.

skulk is a sight-hound either way.

The skulk's waist is so thin past the ribs I always thought it looked like an anorexic greyhound. That said, I dislike comparing it to dogs. The skulk's speed and agility seem far more feline to me.

It being compared to a dog is probably more related as to how it attacks, with biting and also the sound that makes. Other then that it looks more like a hybrid of a dog and a cat.

I agree with it being more of a dog/cat hybrid.

This is a very important topic.

Ok, so that's a really good point that a Skulk is also pretty feline. I mean it definitely does a ot of very adept changing of orientation while always landing on its feet.

Don't say it's necessarily a sight animal, though--we're using our eyes a lot when we play it, but that's for our sake, because we are sight animals. All of the Khaara use "hive sense" almost primarily as well, which seems to be some combination of smell and another sense.
