Why The Conced Option Should Not Be Server Side

Too many Marine commander's like to toy with the Aliens after the control 2 hives. It will quickly depopulate a server when you can't break the strangle hold on the hives and the marines are just teching so they can have HMG/HA when they should just destroy the third hive.

No, they shouldn't, but if you want to sit around and twiddle your thumbs while the marines tech-up, that is your choice, just like it is the commander's choice to do that to you. I would much rather admit defeat and encourage my fellow players to press F4 to get a new game going.

Once as marines we had a long battle on ns_nothing. We finally locked down power and cargo and were about ready to kill viaduct. Before i did i dropped a CC on the catwalk above viaduct and had a few jetpackers build it. Dropped 2 IPs on the catwalk and a TF. Sold the IPs at marine start and reloacted the whole base to that catwalk (upgraded armoury and prototype lab to boot). We stayed up there for about 20 min playing with the aliens before i finally dropped heavies and GLs for everyone and we blew the hive to bits in a glorious display of human supremacy!
Only game better then that was when we zenocided the marine base to finish the game. Even our fades evolved back to skul to join in. Our builder locked them in there base with a few walls of lame and the alien suicide rush was on. Again took about 20 min but it was fun to see who could get the most marines in one blast.
I'm here to play a game, folks. If one team isn't going to finish it, I'll do it for them by pressing F4.
Quite honestly, I don't understand why anyone who really enjoys this game would have a problem with another team giving up if they have come to the conclusion that they cannot win. When the other team is in a position where they are no longer a challenge, I'd much rather they quit and we get a new game going, rather than wasting a half hour or so cleaning up the map. I am in this for the game, not to play around, once a match becomes so lop-sided that finishing the other team is more of a task than a challenge, it becomes very boring to me.

Um.... toying with the other team *is* part of the game... the game you are *playing*.... You're expending way to much effort at *trying* to have fun.
As a blatant example of how "toying with the other team" was an intentional part of the game: audible taunts. Why would the devs waste the time to add taunting sounds to the game if they didn't find "toying" with the other team part of the fun.
