Explore Mode

<div class="IPBDescription">Black screen and not working</div>To whom it may concern,
I only brought the game yesterday and went to play the explore mode to get used to playing before I start an actual game. When I start the mode it appears to load fine, when its done it has a pitch black screen with white words saying "Build 230 " in the top right corner and in the middle it says "Explore mode (F4 to ready room)". When I press F4 nothing happens. There is no mouse icon nor anything but black. If I press escape nothing happens.
It appears I can't exit the program without task manager/ Alt-tab then right click the program to close.

Could you help me into fixing this problem?

    Also, if you want to exit without alt-tabbing, press ~ to pop up the console and type in disconnect (goes back to main menu) or exit (exits the game).

    same issue here. Can i request a reimbursement for my purchase or must I clear that via steam? A game with no functional way to learn to play other than jumping into matches with seasoned vets is not what I signed up for.

    So any solution? I have the same problem. It started about 2 days ago... black screen in explore mode.

    In your Natural Selection 2 Steam directory (normally C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2) there is a program called TechSupport.exe. Can you run that and then e-mail the zip file it generates to me at max@unknownworlds.com?

    I have confirmed this is an issue with the game. We'll be releasing a patch fixing it today.

    Not working for me with Build 232 clearly visible in the upper right hand corner. I do finish loading in an appropriate amount of time but then I am presented with a black screen with the same errors in the console being flooded (Ref: <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=124916&view=findpost&p=2029610" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/in...t&p=2029610</a>). This is after a reinstall of the game ('delete local content' and then deleting the remaining folder 'common/Natural Selection 2' for good measure)

    Just like to point out that I disabled all of my mods and it works. One o the mods I am using may be causing some issues with explore more. I'll try and track down which one it is.

    Well I have no mods (never installed any and mods list is blank) and Explore mode is still broken for me. I've verified the game cache, and it all checks out. Sits on the 'starting local server' screen with the gear wheel spinning.
