Egg drop of course, hives were never bound to any pres spending.

Just played a game and it was absolutely glorious. Oni appeared at the appropriate time, and the commander was actually building support structures with the extra res.
This will have ripple effects throughout the entire game (flamethrowers more useful because more structures everywhere, lifeform progression, etc.) and fix so many issues IMO.
Awesome experience so far.
P.S. Except camo still non-starts pub games :-P . But oh well, cammers gonna cam.

It wouldn't be an NS2 thread without someone completely over-generalizing a patch that's only been out for a few hours. ;)
I did fix the onos egg drop, but most likely in the process broke alot of other things. I don't see why people are rejoicing and yeah I play both marines and aliens, not just marines.
It had to be fixed, but its very likely that it was a short sighted fix.

takes twice as long to kill turtling marines now, hurrah!
inexperienced alien comms against turtling marines was bad enough now it's about to make me uninstall
weaker onos and no res node in north tunnels on mineshaft. Just played a game where the aliens won in 12 minutes but took another half an hour to finish it. Bad alien comm but still.
this patch is seemingly really really bad for large servers so far

onos is only nerfed by it's armor. 500 now instead of 600. and also gore ranged is reduced, i believe.
