<div class="IPBDescription">About the audio</div>Any possibilty for mono sound instead of stereo only?
Or that the audio is split a bit better so that some sounds which are coming from the left side also can be heard on the right side of the earphones. Its annoying to not be able to hear anything that is on my left side. Exo has silent guns, can't hear skulks or onoses on the left etc.
So any possibility?

    Could you please provide a little more information about your set up?

    Am I correct in understanding that your right earphone is functioning correctly but your left earphone is silent in NS2, but both earphones produce sound outside of the game?

    Most PC 3.5mm sound jacks supply both left and right audio to the front-speaker port (usually coloured green, and usually located in the center of the bottom row of sound ports if you have a reasonably modern motherboard). If you're only receiving one channel of sound, I can only imagine that you're somehow splitting the signal with a combination of cords and adapters and then only plugging your headphones into a single channel.

    I don't know if the left earphone works fine, it produces sound but I can't hear it because my left ear is deaf so I only hear the right one and what it outputs and it doesn't output anything which is directed to the left earphone. I'm missing half the audio hints/effects because of this.

    If it were all in one ear, how would you know which direction it's in? but yeah. sounds like it sucks.

    maybe it's obvious, but i'm really tired atm.

    Ah, right! That makes much more sense. In earlier version of Windows you could force mono in your sound settings, but it seems Window 7 dropped this feature.

    I realise this isn't the answer you're looking for, but stereo to mono adapters are fairly cheap and would permanently resolve the issue with NS2 and any other application you use.

    I'm talking about something that looks like this:
    <img src="http://www.pacificgeek.com/productimages/xl/JACK25-35-2.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    Plug the adapter into the back of your computer, plug your headphones into the adapter.

    The same as I do in real life, I look around to find out where the noise is coming from. When sound comes from the left I don't ignore it because some of it gets to my right ear but if it is silent one or there is lots of voices over each other I need look around. I still hear everything but can't always pin point the location of the sound's source.

    Just add the sounds which are directed at the left earphone to the right earphone with lower volume. And vice versa. Problem solved.

    You'd really be better off with a hardware solution so that ALL apps are fixed. I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have a feature in-game, but an adapter at the end of your headphone cable fixes the problem for everything once and for all.
