Alien Health Bar

The Alien Health Bar, as a relatively new player to ns2 I have trouble telling what my health / armor / energy is. I couldn't grasp the circles and circles within circles in addition to multiple small numbers. I'm sure as I play it will become more second nature to me but I'd like one a little more intuitive.
As a first time Onos I ran away from a fight early cause I didn't know what my hp was and battle gorges were wondering why when they kept me nice and healed. Don't worry though, no gorges were seriously harmed in this endeavor.
My requirements for a health bar: easily readable at a glance to anyone.
