p_logall, log, dxdiag, and profiler included
Hello there. I am here to explain the issues I'm having and hopefully submit all the information necessary for the developers to see what's wrong and help others as well. If there are any users who take it upon themselves to read this information and can offer a suggestion that would be greatly appreciated as well.
1. I've been having crash problems. It will either crash to black screen and then to my desktop like nothing was ever running or it will freeze and I will have to manually terminate the process. Note: This has only been happening since build 232. It didn't do this in 229-230.

2. My FPS has dropped since the recent update to build 232. My overall FPS has dropped by 10-15 frames. I'm not sure why but that's the case.
3. Running the game in lower resolutions increases FPS dramatically but performance is still poor. When I play on native 1920x1080 the game is nearly unplayable. I've lowered the resolution down to 1024x768 and the performance increase is gigantic but still runs somewhat poorly in heated situations. You can see my comparison below.
4. My ping has been spiking for no reason. I joined a west coast server and I live in California. I averaged about a 30-35 ping. I noticed my ping spiking up to 100 at random. I immediately checked my connection, ran a speed test, tried running another game to see if the problem persisted. But I came to find out my internet is perfectly fine.

5. NS2 and Steam are the only things running in the background when I play besides necessary drivers. Other than that I make sure I dedicate my full system to NS2 when I play. Also I've tried every work-a-round in the stickied threads and nothing has helped.
6. It's not my overclock either. I went into the bios and reset everything to default and performance got worse. So at this point my OC is helping in the slightest. I've checked my temperatures on my system and everything is proper and cool.

On mine I am using at least 750 MB
However also the avail Virtual memory is around usually 4k

But I am currently using 2x 560's on SLI
This helped me out and while I'm still having random crashes from ARC fire and huge fps drop off in heavy action, this has been the single biggest thing that helped me see through all the stupid graphic spam and have a hope of hitting anything. Good luck.

Yes I am using the start NS2 as a high priority batch file. I mean it helped barely. But it's not significant. I'm curious whats your video card?
I'm intrigued because your setup isn't that much different than mine. You're on a Phenon 2 and I'm on an Athlon 2. My clock is .2 higher than yours. We have the same amount of ram. Just wondering what your video card is. For it to yield that much of a significant increase is weird don't you think?
If I get a sec tomorrow I'll plug the HD4890 in and see what it does on the current build versus the HD6870.

I just saw what you were insinuating. That is pretty weird. It allocates more memory to textures when the resolution is lower. Is there some way to edit the amount of memory allocated to the game both RAM and Video Card Memory? I think that might solve a lot of the FPS problems. It seems to be under-utilizing the video card.

Cool man. I just think it's fairly weird how far apart the difference in performance is between your setup and mine. They're virtually the same in terms of performance except your videocard. I doubt the difference between Phenom 2 and Athlon 2 has anything to do with it really. My HD5770 should be holding up fairly well but the game doesn't seem to think so.
Any Developers or helpers able to check out my issues at this time?

Are you talking about HT Link Width? I can't find any pcie bus settings.
Then it can be slot locked. Maybe one of your pcie slots is not 16x by default. Try other slots and check the speed with something like gpuz.
I have gpuz. And this is what it shows. I believe everything is running accordingly. The reason the GPU clock is at 400 is because it's idle. I have it OC'd to 930. It kicks in when I run games.

1*hd4890 on new build 90fps reported in RR
2*hd4890 on new build 120fps reported in RR
1*hd6870 on new build 130fps reported in RR, drops to about 40 with no GPU cue in late game combat, can feel like 12fps depending on map.
----
With all that's been said about CPU factoring more than GPU and that the builds have differed so much in FPS I'm not overly alarmed and expecting a change for the better with newer builds. Fingers crossed.

Interesting information. On my 5770 I'm reporting 145-150fps in the RR. Experiencing the same FPS drop late game to about 40-50 fps (stuttering 20 fps) in heated situations.
I just have to think back to how readily I paid for NS1, constie, and how many hours of fun that gave me and still gives me and I'm happy again. NS2 as it stands is pretty meh but I hope for good things to come.
