I have a server been browsing the forums and these forums constantly to see if anyone has a solution for my problem, the log is flooded with "Client sent a move too far in the past" when as little as one player is on the server.

If anyone knows how to fix it I would be much appreciative thank you.

Also looking at how to extend the time before round start which I have seen done however people don't seem to be sharing, thank you for any contributions.

InTriX.

Are you hosting it from your own PC?

    Did you set affinities?

Are you refreshing the web admin tool?

I'm not using the web admin tool and it is a remote PC the server is just using all cores does it only run off maximum two cores or something that I should be aware of? Also if so how would I set the cores for the server just task manager and set them after starting the server?

    Thanks so far btw.

It looks like you are running the dak mod

    <a href="http://ns2servers.devicenull.org/servers/52855/46.59.12.95:27016/?date=12%2F05%2F2012" target="_blank">http://ns2servers.devicenull.org/servers/5...=12%2F05%2F2012</a>

Have you tried backing up your admin / ban list and completely wiping and deleting files and redownloading?

You said its off of a remote PC. Is it a VPS? What kind of ram?

I would suggest starting fresh without mods first. Something is bottlenecking the server when it's empty it should at least be constant 30 tick.

Running without mods doesn't remove the flood of errors which I assume causes the unstable tick rate.

The server is literally just a PC running Windows 2008 server, 8 Gig of ram @ 1333Hz. Which hosts a minecraft and NS2 server.

Open up power options (windows settings), and set your minimum CPu state to 100%.

I think that looks like what im talking about.

    Minimum 100%, maximum 100%.

I can find that on my windows 7 pc however on windows 2008 server the option to customise that doesn't appear to exist.

The only option in the same location is System cooling policy "Active" or "Passive" obviously nothing to do with the frequency of the cpu's clock.

I think that means that one of the following is true:

    CPU doesnt support it
    motherboard doesnt support it
    bios version doesn support it
    its disabled in the bios
