Yes, you can bootcamp and run NS2. As of build 233 I am getting 40-45 FPS.

I am NOT running at full native resolution, but the game is certainly enjoyable (while maybe not competitive level of performance)

(I have 16G RAM, if it matters)

    That's good to hear. I'm playing on a few-years-old 13" MacBook Pro and it runs like garbage -- ~15-25 FPS generally, and that's at 640x480 or 720x480 (I change it if the performance is too bad). Some of the maps are worse than others.
