<div class="IPBDescription">Some unlegal mode was discover?</div>I am really not sure but a few days ago i were playing on alien side and one marine always shoot to me when i were in camouflage. He had too many kills in oposite to other marins.
It's stink for me. Is it possible somebody write mod to game to change look of camouflage alien? I guess game have data about camouflage alien position, so somebody can write mod to change enemy camouflage alien look.
You should do something with that if i have right. That's really unbalance if it is true and soon too many players have mode like that.

Edit: At worst its probably just someone who has made an aimbot or something.
I know but this marin have x10 kills more then others. I don't know, mayby he was so good. But sometimes it was so unbelievable.
I am only alert about possible situation. Even if he was so good, somebody will write something like that sooner or later. It happen in all good game... :(

As far as I know there's 1 free wallhack for NS2 that's currently VAC banned, and 1 hack that is "better" that must be paid for. Those are the only publically available hacks for NS2 at this time.
Good players will cold shoot for skulks they know are cloaked. It's not usually a red flag for a highly skilled player to have a much higher K/D than the rest of his team in NS2. In fact, in NS2 I would say you can never actually identify someone as a hacker by his score. Very skilled players tend to have higher scores than hackers can get (because shooting well is not the most important skill as a player in this game, moving right, being in the right positions, and using ammo on the right things at the right times are much more vital)
There are many many skilled players in NS2 right now, but very few real hackers. Please be careful when accusing people. You are more LIKELY to be running into a skilled player than a hacker.

Are there any preventative measures against injecting code into a running process (ns2.exe)?

Users say it is working as of Dec 15, still undetected by the recent VAC addition to NS2...though no guarantee that VAC won't start detecting it in the future.
There's no way to detect this that I'm aware of. If there were, AAA titles like BF3 would have stamped out 80% of cheats out there... UWE is going to have a hard time keeping up with disallowed mods alone given how accessible they've made NS2, so if someone is going to put in the effort to cheat, it probably a safe bet they will get away with it.
All that having been said, you are going to find cheats in every game ever released for multiplayer. The best thing to do is just accept that it happens and make the most of the experience. I outplay most BF3 players with or without cheats because cheaters tend to be bad players. Short of aim-botting and damage hacks (as seend in BF3) you can generally outplay them just by being smarter about positioning and using the map to your advantage.
In NS2, if you are relying on your camo to get you up close and its not working, just get it in your head that it's not ever going to work... don't go attacking areas where suspected cheats are if you're not good enough to just beat them/their hax. Take down undefended RT's, harass their tech points, and if all else fails, just find a new server. There's no point in getting mad about the situation, they might be hacking they might be just really too good for you... but you won't know for sure 90% of the time what the situation is so either find a way to be effective or find a server where your abilities match the skill of the players around you.
