<div class="IPBDescription">i'm so bad...</div>so, we had this commander who said he's top clan competetive player who has never lost a competetive game, in a public game.
he was fine at commanding but he's attitude was horrible, everytime we failed to do something ( as in we followed his orders but just died ) he complained to us how bad and noobish we are, using words like "what the ###### you do, what the ######" etc, we had upperhand in the map control etc.
so, i just tried to play as best as i can, but i just lost it when he complained to me "stop ######ing asking for ammo" when i had 0 ammo and i was in the field( and i asked ammo just for once, to be clear on this). So, after that i just spammed non-stop ammo and medpacks even when i didn't need them, and he went berserk, i had fun time, he complained that he can't command such noobish team as he had and how i ruined his commanding while spamming med and ammo, but as commander i know it's not gamebreaking, it's annoying as hell but not gamebreaking ahh... good times, if i managed to annoy him i'm proud of my self. eventually, he left the game.
just to be clear, i would have never done that if he wouldn't be so arrogant.
any toughts ? want to flame me ?

Pub all-stars who can barely muster a positive K:D ratio, yelling about how wrong you are doing as a commander, despite the things going wrong not being the fault of strategy or commander execution.
Nothing more infuriating than hearing "commander is a noob" when team refuses to pressure any key points, doesn't win engagements on a regular basis and is oblivious to lack of consistent res flow.
It more than goes both ways for "people talking down to people" in the commander / ground unit sense.

this is so true, even if the player is right, he should follow the commander's orders, no matter how noobish they are, all though try to explain them friendly why something else might be better.
I really felt bad in my game because our team had 3 rookies, i hope they didn't get wrong image of player base or that this game is like HoN or Lol or dota where everyone is just flaming each others for little mistakes.
And yes, the Commander-Field players relationship is mutual. A bad commander who's willing to listen to good players can actually be carried, but if the field players can't win their engagements, there's nothing a commander can do. And no, spamming medpacks is not the answer.
Hahah yeah, I talk about this all the time in mumble... If i've got three Hives up and every trait researched or whatever, people bug out if i jump out of the chair and help to break the siege. "OMG WE HAVE NO COMMANDER?!" And yes, I've seen exactly that typed out, and I wasn't even done evolving into my gorge.
This is extremely common, and weird too - They have time to check if there's a commander, but somehow they forget if there ever was one, when they check for one and there is none? @_@ ???
You are a horrendusly bad player, you spammed me for medpacks and ammo from the moment i got in the chair, and sat trying to give me advice whilst sitting on 5 kills for 20 deaths.
You actually spammed me so much that i discoverd a new game bug, the chair bugged, and i froze following your noobery, unable to move the map to look elsewhere, with my position only changing as you spammed your next request. During that time we lost nanogrid, and a bunch of arcs that i was unable to make kill cargo hive.
So yeah, well done, you basically ruined a game for 23 people, or at least the other 11 that were on my team.
Did you notice that no one else on the team was complaining about me??? Did you notice that EVERYONE on the team with a mike was telling you to stop requesting ammo and shut up until you killed something?
I noticed that... o yes.
Im hoping that someone from the team work and tatics server actually gets back to me so that i can report you as a laming, trolling nowit noob that needs banning.

And i didnt try to proove anything to this muppet either, i just wrote down his steam id, apologised to my team for leaving them mid game (and had some of them apologise to me for having juo ruin the game) and left for a different server.

Talking about bad experiences, I had a guy who refused to move out of the base unless I scanned everywhere he went nonstop.
Nothing wrong about that one though. Oh no! You're acting different in a different environment! How terrible! Lets see the listed consequences: "possible cyber-bullying" ........oh dear God, not that........
Not the worst thing in the world that teams are aware that there is no commander. I've seen comms leave because of computer issues, or got kicked because of trollers, or bailed because I can only assume real life stuff came up (usually they say something but i think people miss it in the middle of overly loud battle). Alien side this isn't really a big thing but should be taken care of decently fast. Marine side I can see panic because trollers have the ability to recycle all the things.
and i seriously rarely know the name of the comm, you're the guy with the name that comes up yellow when you talk, so I can't just check and see if you're still in the game.
commanders never respond to healthpack or ammo needs even when you spam them and ask over the mic
try to give tips you are told off or ignored
commanders think they know what they are doing but they really don't
this is why I play combat.
This is not a game of commander vs. commander. A commander doesn't win the game, the team does. You can have a horrible commander win a game against an awesome commander if the awesome commander's team is bad. You can't shoot from the command chair, so if your team can't, you're done.
As far as arrogance, I don't really mind. I only care if someone's good or not.
Guy just rubbed me up the wrong way, i should have ignored this thread.
