Talking about theory of sun being apart of a Binary system

A brown dwarf star that comes around every 26 million years
Anyone believe in the theory that our star is locked into a binary orbit with smaller brown dwarf star (brown stars do not give of light the human eye can see normally) and this explains many things about our solar system such as irregularities in certain planets orbits, why there seems to bee repeated comet and asteroid action that happens across all planets at the same time frame, every 26 million years, that has completely reshaped not only our planets history, but every single planets history.

-Mercury got hit so hard that it no longer has an outer crust.

-Venus they speculate used to be just like earth with simple life on it at one point, until a comet hit the ocean, and vaporized most of the planets water, and the mixture of all the elements from volcanic action that all vapor from the water got infused with carbon dioxide, and the water was unable to re materialize into water, and was stuck in a cloudy, smog atmosphere creating a death green house, something that could happen to earth thru global warming. (but not on such a crazy scale)

-Earth has a history of creators, and getting hit by comets, and There is many large global events linked to comet activity such as death of dinosaurs, ice ages, ect ect. There is hundreds of creators all over earth, all follow similar time frames. Ie it seems there is always LOTS of activity, then none, then another period of LOTS of activity, then again NONE at all?

-Mars and its moons have some of the largest known craters in the solar system

- The planet that used to be between mars and Jupiter -Phaeton - that was destroyed and now is a asteroid belt...

- Saturn's rings is from something hitting a moon so hard it shattered and became the rings, same with Jupiter and Neptune's rings...

-Some thing the Red spot on Jupiter was due to a massive hit there, and that is why it slowly gets smaller.

Our moon has definite different "sprays" of meteor activity.

Something is causing meteors to strike everything in our solar system in sprays every once in a while. It might have stopped, or maybe we are just in a quite time....

all I know is most things they teach in school about the earth, and the solar system, is wrong in some way. The deepest anyone has drilled is 12 km down, and they say we know nothing. They are the only ones to experience that far down and all they have to say is "what is taught in schools and science books is wrong, that's all we know." and the solar system is a spiral due to the fact the sun is moving around in the milky way and we are on the outside edge, so orbits are like spirals around and not just round circles....

Just wanted to talk about what people believe in regards to astronomy..

People say all the time science has proven this or that, but honestly, it is a lie. The diagrams in school of whats in the center, how do they know? How has that been proven? Why is it still taught globally when everyone who has been as deep as man as ever gone say its wrong?

People can act like science proves stuff, but EVERYTHING is just theory.

To add to that... The word "theory" isn't a dirty word btw, if all that can be proven by facts points to a theory with our current level of knowledge. Then that theory is the most probable. And to furthermore add to this: Science is self-correcting and not afraid of correcting mistakes made, using newly discovered things. It is simply our best bet to understanding how stuff works :)

I'd trust the word of people who actually have the knowledge to research and prove/disprove theories over some lads down a hole that "say things" Besides, once something is proven to be a fact. It is in fact (pardon the pun), still a theory...

I'm not at all sure about what most of these are about, however it is generally accepted that the "destroyed planet between Mars and Jupiter" is a wrong theory. It is believed that Jupiter's gravitational pull prevented the formation of a planet (as the asteroids couldn't mash themselves up into a bigger object)

As for invisible stars, I'd believe we have tech to detect pretty much most wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation. Not to mention gravitational pull.
If a star was hidden within our solar system, we'd know about it. Hell, we found an exoplanet half the size of the Earth.

You should be aware that scientific exploration has gone far beyond what is seen by the human eye. For example, we do not need to drill into the planet's core to know that the planet's innards are liquid. Seismic activity tells us that transverse waves cannot pass by the Earth's core. Therefore, it's liquid.
Another example would be spectral analysis of a star's light, to discover its composition.

Sure, scientific theories are just theories, but to be generally accepted, they need to have solid reasoning. And most of it has been proven correct enough. Do you think we managed to send probes to Mars and people to the Moon, or send spacecraft to specific parts of space (geostationary orbits, Hershel and Planck in the L2 point, the Deep Impact mission, etc.) with simple guesswork ?

"A brown dwarf star that comes around every 26 million years"

Go make a movie out of that.

The asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter was once a planet like Earth. Its obliteration was collateral damage caused by a massive cannon built by the Maians long ago. The same shot that tore Phaeton apart also dealt critical damage to its intended target -- the disabled Reaper trapped in low orbit around the brown dwarf star lurking at the edge of the system.

Though the Maians eventually fell to other Reapers, they at least managed to avenge the dinosaurs who came before them.

For those of you interested in decoding exactly what the OP is trying to describe just read up on 'Nemesis'

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemesis_(hypothetical_star)

The story of Nemesis demonstrates the Scientific method well. Original suggested to explain the periodicity of mass extinctions, closer examination of the data, and research on the topic have clearly shown that a companion star could not be the cause of this periodicity. Furthermore, WISE has scanned the skies in infrared and no such object was detected.

Anyway, I guess the point I am making is that although there are some crackpot theories surrounding Nemesis and Senda, at the core of these 'mythologies' there is hard science, keeping an open mind, investigating wild claims with objectivity and eventually coming to reasonable conclusions either way.

I think once we're into "it has been disproven but science is lying to you about how the earth looks inside so you can't trust science," that's crackpot land.

It does say it can detect red dwarves with a temperature of 150 kelvin. That's -120°C or -190°F.
Mars's surface is warmer than that.

There might be some unknown 'thing' where that Nemesis should be, something we cannot comprehend yet, but it's not a red dwarf.
