No Text/Logo/Camera effect no Start Screen

<div class="IPBDescription">Help!</div>When I start the game I see the blue room with the orangey-red vent shining up at the pipe. No text or logo or camera effect. If I wiggle my mouse on the left side I hear the clicks of me going over where useful options like "Play" are. I even get a noise if I click in that area, but nothing pops up. :-(

Also tried joining games through steam. Still fails at same point. This is weird.
