    Something is really odd. Can't join servers (Client & Server differ). All mods disabled.

    edit: nvm works now.

    I feel like the snowball thing is going to be something that just ends up sucking a lot when they take it out after christmas.. :(
    like you can't add a cool ready room feature like that and then take it away.

    It precaches twice now? What the hell!? These are some ridiculously long load times...

    Christmas theme is cute, but seriously what the hell did you guys do with the load times?

    And that jingle is obnoxiously loud. I can't even disable it by turning the music slider off...brilliant.

    I can't speak to any certainty here, but I think you only do the "really long, multiple loads" thing once. Just like the first time you loaded the game, something that probably slipped your mind since.

    Seems a bit smoother in the FPS department. Nothing serious though.



    What specifically was changed with Vortex? It seems to be an area effect for closest object to the Fade now?


    Anyways, I never used Vortex because it's horribly ineffective but I never noticed that you have a 1 to 1.5 second delay after Vortex before you can Blink or Shadow Step, which is a horribly atrocious design feature on an already expensive, costly, situational, finicky ability for a class known to be a "hit and run" creature.

    After watching the build 234 video, did anyone else think Hugh was going to sing the patch notes? Opening line was timed well with the music haha

    We had to cancel a scrim tonight, just like we had to cancel a practice when 233 spontaneously came out.

    That said. The snowballs are fun.

    Why did you have to cancel? Is your clan going to struggle to adapt to the snowballs in the ready room? Not exactly the end of the world is it?

    Uh just went through a mapchange and the Hive and CC denied access to anyone, and the server was spamming me with errors. I'll see if I can replicate tomorrow.

    Are they going to fix the various ways 1-2 people can completely break a server until an admin shows up? I've been seeing that a lot lately.

    We had to cancel because spontaneously people couldn't connect because the client and server differed. And then the server we played on, couldn't be updated while people were waiting to play.

    All I am asking for is the ability to choose when to update to 234, instead of being forced to do so. The first patch after 1.0 was perfect - I could even go back to the previous release if (when) killer bugs made the new build playable. I'm not sure why UWE has chosen to ignore this built-in system.

    I can confirm that, but it happened to me in Build 233!
    It was on an official europe UW server, so no admin could restart it... :-/
    But it was not right after the mapchange, it started to malfunction in the middle of a game!

    +1..though I think only a 'eject comm" really needs to be addressed. Not sure what other various ways you are talking about.
