Unable to play period

Not only am I not seeing ANY servers on the list with all filters removed. I'm not even able to launch an explore mode to see what build I'm at.

Continuously states "Authentication failed".

    try restarting steam, it could be that steam is disconnected, or that your version of ns2 has failed to update automatically.

    restarting steam "should" get your ns2 updating automatically if this is the case.

    Steam has been restarted. You don't get authentication errors if your NS2 is out of date (to my knowledge) and should still be able to launch a explore mode server to check your build number.

    hmm sorry bro, was just trying to think of a time when id seen no or limited servers on the browser.
