If not blocking an important route, I think clogs are best used when you put them over your upgrade chambers (like a Spur, for example). Blocking these chambers from marine vision can really be important.

That's too bad, it would have been a hilarious counter against bad marine teams if they just died going through the PG.

You can still block marines in a pg which will make camping it easier.
if you put three on the backside, and three on the frontside, they would be blocked inside the gate. And since they can't leave, they would get phased away before they could destroy the clogs. I must try this now. lol
Me and my buddy actually did this a few times. It depends on how far in you clog the pg. If you block them completely, then they teleport again after a second or so. If you leave a bit of clearing, they stay until they move back to the pg, though there are some dumb people that actually try to shoot down the clogs

Seen this once as a rine... just build the powernode throught the clogs and loled because the aliens didnt destroyed it because of the clogs ^^.
