Reducing opacity of flashlight when used with Atmospherics?

The graphical option. Atmospherics looks nice and adds to the setting but it absolutely makes flashlights a pain in the behind. The flashlight beams from friendlies basically look like thick clouds of mist or fog shooting out completely hindering visibility. For now I have atmospherics turned off but isn't there a way to simply reduce the fog-like refraction caused by atmospherics when using the flashlight? It seems like many people I talk to in game simply turn atmospherics off which is a shame considering how good it looks.

I'm usually not one to revive dead topics but this time I figured it would be better. Atmospherics got updated but friendlies' flashlights still make everything look like a white fog has enshrouded wherever they're pointing.

I would actually love this too. The current flashlight does a great job obstructing my view. I do love the scenery and a lot of the bells and whistles in this engine are great, but I would like a tweak to the way the flashlight works.

I have turned off atmospherics because of the terrible reflections.

Is the flashlight an actual light source?

I think there was a mod in the workshop that does it but the server has to be running it too.

Yes. It is also an actual fog-machine.

Yeah I have experienced that too. My atmospherics option is also off. I don't think this is a major issue as long people can turn it off.

There is a mod to do this, but since it requires modifying Lua files it needs to be server side:

Well ive turned Atmospherics also off - it looks great but its just annoying if several people use flashlights.
