OMG Buff aliens

Last 10 games played on alien side we lost by a huuge team k/d ratio, and no map control, only way I have won a game Alien side is basically zerg rush to base at the start. The longer the game goes on, the more OP Marines get. trying to rely on making the marine miss shots is stupid if you're playing skilled players. The alien at the start needs a longer melee attack, movement needs to be made similair to the Xenomorph in AvP. And for the love of god make the Alien attack dmg do something meaningfull, been averaging 5 hits to kill marine. As of right Now I feel this game is unbalanced due to making the marine to easy to play and the alien nearly impossible. It doesn't make for a competitive gameplay.

2) You lost because you are not skilled, your team got stomped. It happens, step up your game.
3) If you hit a marine with the side of your teeth, its a 'glancing blow' and dose reduced damage. If you hit head on you do full damage.
so from your story. we can decipher your issue: Out Skilled.
Hm skulk, lerk, and fade seems a bit skillful with movements and evasive manuvers but limited in the sense that eventually you will have to get close to attack with the exception of lerk. I was happily playing aliens for 2-3 rounds winning until skilled marines came and literally gave us a curb stomp off of their home world. Especially that lethal aim. You gotta wonder how they shoot so well but there it is. GL going up against deadshot marines without coordination. Other times I faced really good marines and while our K/D ratio is negative we still win with teamwork. You cannot make any calls until you have equally good players on both sides which will rarely happen in pubs.
I think the main advantage of aliens is how sneaky/fast they can be. Even if your team is massacring them and pushing on, all it really takes is a couple of sneaky aliens to screw up your base faster than you can reach it.
On a side note, aliens have a 60%+ win ratio.
lmao.... we all know that that percentage is 100% correct..*face palm* ... .... works 100% of the time, every time.
Well it might not tell you what is unbalanced but when pub and comp play are both showing the same winning alien percentage of ~60% yes, it tells you exactly what is going on. It is telling you that in no way do aliens need some major buff, nor marines a major nerf. Common sense dictates that the percentage would only increase.
IE in 229 when it was closer to ~70% with 2 hive onos and crags that could heal every and anything instantly.
lmao.... we all know that that percentage is 100% correct..*face palm*

Also backed up by NS2Stats:
<a href="http://ns2stats.org/all/index" target="_blank">http://ns2stats.org/all/index</a>
It's not all games of course, but still thousands of games of data coming out to an aliens 56% win to marines 44% win rate.
Marines are slightly underpowered. You simply got outplayed.

They have also said win loss being 50-50 does not mean the game is balanced.
Then look at some of the more recent proposed balance changes where aliens get some small buffs.
Clearly the devs feel alien play still needs work to become more fun, marines is easy and fun enough (even when your losing...hence the prevelence of last tech point turtles).
Whilst some of the OP's suggestions are born out of frustration he is not wrong, these where the same issues myself and a few other s flagged right up to the point of feature and then release.
A good marine side will win more so than an equally skilled alien team, lets remember that between final patch and retail there where no balance changes...yet win loss swung aliens way by ~ 15% if I recall correctly.
This change shows its inexperienced marines more than OP'd aliens thats caused the win loss ratio shift.
Sorry to all the doubters who dont believe that aliens are imbalanced, some things are not about equally winning...but rather having equal amounts of fun.
Aliens are not and has not been as much fun to play in comparison to marines (for the majority of the time).
The propsed changes coming up should see some improvements for the alien side, how much they correlate to an increased level of fun is yet to be ascertained.

are you... suggesting the OP should..... L2P?

Try watching some of my videos. Good luck with your games!
Actually.. that's exactly what it means. Competitive players might choose to disagree based on some esoteric "Hardcore vs Casuals" or "Pubs vs Comp" scene, which is semi-valid, but just trashing global gameplay statistics like they're meaningless is silly. If blue wins half, and red wins half, over 5000 games, the teams are even. Sorry, that's the definition of "Balance". Same on one side as is on the other.

I remember that. However, I'm not sure how you deduce that equally skilled Marines >>>> Equally skilled aliens, as we see daily in scrims AND pubs, equally skilled teams end up winning vs each other on either side due to luck factors like initial hive placement, random pathing decisions, etc. I'd like to see from where you draw the statistics you conclude this from, or some hard facts/numbers to back it up, if i'm to believe it.

If there are so many 'doubters', perhaps their doubt is warranted? I'd easily argue that alien is more fun. Most of the people I know who've played NS2 for more than 5 hours and/or have any experience at FPS really genuinely find aliens much more enticing and enjoyable than marine. I'm not sure how you calculate such arbitrary, personal emotional decisions into some kind of statistic to render other people's arguments impotent. Again, if you're going to quote it like some meaningful fact, provide your evidence and back-up; not just idle speculation, otherwise I'll assume you're just a 'doubter' on a pulpit for your cause.

I deleted some paragraphs, because I didn't get what you meant by that percentage shift. So this reply is only about the above mentioned things.
Please stop behaving like the NS2 player's hive mind. I strongly disagree with you that aliens are unfun to play and I met a good deal of people who think so as well.
With two sides being as different as marines and aliens in this game, there's gotta be some ppl who like one side better than the other. I, for my part, hate to have to go into the marine team because of balance reasons; aliens are just so much more fun to me. Sure, they take some getting used to, but once you worked out some basics for every lifeform it becomes incredibly rewarding to play them.
I suggest the OP sticks to the marines for now, until he learned from some good skulk opponents when to be an evasive and when to be an aggressive skulk and hwo to approach a fight in general. Also, read the NEW PLAYERS section on these forums; there are plenty of very comprehensive guides to alien lifeforms (webbed and not webbed, just look around).
TL;DR
Aliens aren't OP and are fun to play.
So yes, try practicing a little longer before making up your mind regarding balance.
