Hey there since the new build is out my performance with the FX6300 blew up its UNPLAYABLE for me now, i dont know what u guys have done but as soon if the round starts i do not reach the 80 FPS anymore and im stuck around ~50 as soon is i get infight they dropp below 40 and it feels like my FX is running on 3GHZ instead of my actually oced 4GHZ .....
about 1 week ago i started to OC the FX and i was able to get some MS waiting for GPU (7870 GHZ OC GIgabyte) and now even if i watch on the ground i dont get further 60 fps anymore where i finaly had about 150 atleast.
so what the hell have you done with that build? i only OCed for Natural selection 2 and now its running like shit - wouldnt wonder if i could reach 30 fps in first minute at @ stock clock

as i started to OC the FX i had good FPS overall and now new build and i got FPS like about 1 month ago and this sucks
Of course a rather amusing side effect is that I was hopping around like I had a jetpack so I was practically speedhacking by having bad performance.
EDIT: I lied, for some reason my client hasn't updated and it is still running build 237.
Tried a couple of games but it's almost screwed up now. can't go up to 50 fps neither in empty room at start. and got 20 while commanding...
i just did some tests. had a screenshot in tram readyroom (B235) with 121 fps (me alone) now i do 82 fps in the same place.
AMD here too. Ph II x4 @3.8
Is it happening across both Nvidia and ATI cards ? - I think it is from the posts so far, but any info at this point might help.
Both from what I've read amd and nvidia and in game people have been complaining as well. The higher the frames the more you notice the loss. Even doing a simple test of comparing framerates in explore mode by using the same spot every patch would make it noticeable. I just wish I took screenshots of it.
Btw how do you conduct performance tests? Do you guys have a way to benchmark in game or something? If there isn't could you pleaseeee try to push for one? It would help a lot when determining the extent of change between every patch and for testing before release when the beta build for all players goes live.
never had decent fps (20-30), not it dropped even below taht
anyways im out untill a new WORKING build is out, as long i cant play NS2 with that worse Framerates (even Crysis 3 runs with much higher details + 16 players in a beta with over 70 fps in the biggest fights my god SPARK shitgine....)
I'll update you when i know more.
Well, show us how it is done better, please. Given to you the restrictions of 6 Years development time, only 7 Developers and barely so much money that you don't know whether your make it to finish your awesome engine or not.
What was it?
Summit:
Frames: 92683
Time: 19.56 minutes
Min FPS: 44
Max FPS: 106
Avg FPS: 78.967
Mineshaft:
Frames: 86118
Time: 20 minutes
Min FPS: 37
Max FPS: 116
Avg FPS: 71.765
Same Mineshaft round as above, but late game (20-35 minutes):
Frames: 49291
Time: 15.6 minutes
Min FPS: 32
Max FPS: 102
Avg FPS: 52.659
This is down roughly 20-25 FPS from the previous build.
This is with an i5-2500K overclocked to 4.5GHz and a GTX 570 overclocked to 850MHz/1900MHz. I was going to post my DxDiag but it was too long...I thought the "code" option allowed you to safely post that without exceeding the character limit? Oh well. If the devs want it I can post it up, just figured I'd post up my observations.
