Cant get game to runs smooth

Hello :)

I have a lot of problems getting this game to runs smoothly, i have everything set to the lowest graphics and CS:S and DOD:S looks much better then NS2 on that low settings, and even my old laptop that is 8 years old run those games without problems. So i dont understand why my new laptops sould have a problem with NS2. When i am runing around alone in NS2 it only lags a little bit, but its ok, but when i encounter someone the fps drops drasticaly, and lategame i can only survive as an exo or onos because it lags so bad :/

So I am looking for some help, and yes i am runing the game on a notebook. And that should not be the problem, i run a lot of other games on the notebook without problems, and so if the only sugestion you have is to get e new couputer please dont reply.. (of course i dont expect it to run on full graphics with a notebook, but run OK on low graphics)

I attached some screenshots that i hope will help :)

I am also happy to help providing more info as well :)

I love this game and would love to run it a little smoother, so im grateful for any help :)

Thanks in advance :)

Your processor and GPU should be giving you something in the 30-50 fps range. Considering it's a quad-core with decent but not great clockspeed/caches, you'd likely be hitting the GPU bottleneck - the one you've got is unfortunately the king of the low-end, and relies on CrossfireX to be competitive. Check that your laptop is not running the game on the integrated GPU only. Within catalyst control settings make a profile for NS2 that forces the computer to use at least your dedicated GPU, preferably CrossfireX, and you'll be fine.

That said, even on low settings NS2 is still considerably more graphically intense than the Source engine (Spark was made because Source wasn't good enough!) so don't expect it to ever play as well as Source games. You get what you pay for with computer hardware.
