    I honestly have to disagree with you. I find killing fades no problem at all. If anything is over powered I'd have to say it was the bile bomb

    my suggestion was aliens will naturally get stronger based on the number of hives active, sort of like upgrading marine armor and weapons,

    NS1 already did that, Kharaa get an armor bonus based on the number of hives, worked pretty well imho. Should work even better in NS2 with the option of having more than 3 hives.

    A good early game Fade can turn tides of entire rounds already, when Marines still lack the weapon/armor upgrades to 2 shot it.
    But as the round goes on chances are Marines will get their weapon upgrades, at that point the Fade just can't compete that much anymore unless there is some Onos meatshield or other distraction around.

    Having armor scaling based on hives, maybe get an NS2 version of Focus, could make the Fade more late game viable.
