The main forum page needs some work. We need to have links to the sub-categories. It's lame to have just the main headings (Getting Started, General, Veteran...), which lead to the sub-categories, which then lead to the thread list. Too many clicks.
It's also not clear that the main category headers are even links.
I've actually never been one to participate in the community aspect of NS for years because I was never that attracted to the forum/websites layout. The new design is amazing though. Honestly one of the coolest forums I've ever dealt with.
Nah, if someone disagrees with your opinion, he will just flag your post as spam or trolling. Then it won't even show up anymore by default. Can't wait to see some trolls flagging every single post as spam.
As someone who loves change, I'm kinda surprised to find I'm kinda 'ick' about the new forums. I'll give it time to see if it's just needing an adjustment period but I've always favoured a more minimalist look (after all I come to forums to look at posts not all the distracting stuff around them )
I would like the appearance of the WYSIWYG - row, that is on top of the text box, also while I edit a post.
Alter the agree- / disagree-smiley's so one can easier differentiate them. Simplest way would be to make agree slightly greenish and disagree slightly red.
Would it be wrong to have a video screen plugin on the main page displaying competitive games? If it's an ongoing live stream, all you have to do is push the play button. If it's a short while until the next stream (less than a day), there's a countdown. The video screen could have links to recent and highlighted recordings.
I bet most people, like myself, are too lazy to do timezone math and scavenge the forums for links...
EDIT: I also agree with _Necro_ about the agree-/disagree-smiley's. So no need to hover with your pointer.

Hum, also all the member icons on the forum view gives a messy rainbow look, and the icons are too small to be really useful.
