Marine Jump-knockback

I don't know if anyone has noticed.
When marines jump and get bit by a skulk they get knocked back a long distance allowing for a free skulk kill.

Also the thing about clans and marine overpowerment also applys to skilled players in pubs.

Most people just have horrible aim in LMG and complain about marines being bad, ever have good to perfect aim? It's not hard to kill a skulk, just don'tshoot if they aren't under your crosshair and don't waste bllets.

How does the knockback give the skulk a guaranteed kill? It gives the marine more time to fire on and kill the skulk before he gets bitten again.

he's saying a free kill for the marine, not for the skulk.

Point of the topic is probably that there shouldn't be a knockback effekt on the marines when a skulk hits it. I think this happens because the marine jumps when the skulks bites it, so he gets launched away by the bite

It doesn't really physically make sense for a marine to get knocked back 15 feet and land on his feet, but so what? It's kind of fun.

I knocked a marine off the Hera reception elevator once, with my first bite. He fell all the way down, and survived. (That's like 30 foot fall.) My second bite finished him off, of course.

And I've knocked marines off of the big 'cliff' in Maintenance hive on Eclipse. He died.

um, say you ARENT near a cliff (this is usually so)
    you die

    is that fun?

Oh, I get it. My bad. I agree with you on this on, the knockback is a bit severe. There should be something, but definetly not as far as it is at the moment.

Skulkswerenerfed, maybe your brain was nerfed.

I've had no problems biting hordes of humans. In fact, I've rarely ever noticed the knockback at all when not near a cliff, much less this effect resulting in my death. Most of the time marines will get knocked 'back' about 3 feet, and hit a wall. It's just as disorienting for them as for anyone else.

Perhaps you just need to play better.

Well, exactly. That's what I mean. I think most of the time you're fighting in fairly close quarters. I don't consider it a common occurence that you're flying back 15 feet.

this is no minor detail... its something that happenes all the time, and it can change the outcome of the fight..

If a marine get knocked away from a skulk, and the skulk dont see anything because he bites all the time, the marine can be knocked pretty far and be able to shoot the skulk, who has no idea where the marine went!

Or if a skulk knocks a marine down some stairs or something, the marine can be easily killed!

It's true that they get knocked too far, as the skulk BITES and doesnt hit as the Fade does with it claws, and as the onos does with its horn...
