Error: Exceeded Maximum Number of Snapshots

Hi , I've been experiencing this problem since friday "Error: Exceeded Maximum Number of Snapshots" and I am unable to use chat or various other functions once the error occurs.

There are no mods installed and it is a fresh server install.

Some other symptoms

- Not being able to chat via text. Mic still works.
- can't evolve into anything as an alien (I can select upgs and higher lifeforms, but when I click evolve nothing happens)
- custom key bindings don't work anymore (can't use join team aliens, marines, or readyroom binds)
- can't do anything as a comm. For example, I can select cysts by pressing "a" or clicking, but they aren't placed whenever I click.
- can't return to lobby.
- can't logout from comm.

    Are all clients that connect to your server having this issue? What this error means is that the server isn't getting any acknowledgements that data was received by the client.

    Not every client is having issues as I have been watching the server for a bit now and it seems only certain clients are having issues. Myself being one of them coming from a fresh install. The symptoms also occur on other servers but not on every server.

    I can confirm I am having this issue as a client on hit and miss servers, from what I have found the following triggers the issue:
    - Typing in chat 3 characters or less in game or lobby.
    - Using binds to join teams (My guess is any bind that is <= 3 chars in length, like chat issue).

    I have no mods installed, servers I have issue on are not modded (yellow). I have reinstalled the game, and verified game cache.

    As it seems right now the update has caused some packets sent by ns2 to be identified as Spam/DDoS/flood
    by NFO and maybe other server provider's firewalls/filters.
