Can't Look Left or Right as Well As Flickering screen

It appears to have started getting this problem after the update.
About 20 minutes into most games my character is stuck looking in a single direction and I can not look left or right, only up and down. I can still build, fire weapons, jump etc but my view is stuck.
It also begins to flicker quite a bit and as soon as I try to minimize and unminimize it says that the engine had an error it cannot recover from.
I tried to re-install the game but no luck with that either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I never had this problem before and really miss playing this game to the fullest.
Update: The game goes back to normal when I load a new map

As well as the fact that after using the same mouse for the last 2 years I never had this problem before, except recently on NS2, all my other games work fine.
- Screenshot or video of the flickering if possible.
- Dump and log file when the game crashes.
- Dxiag of your system.
I'll be sure to post here if the situation reoccurs with all the info necessary.
