Will Not pass "Downloading Mod"

I load up the game as per usual and it gets to the "Downloading Mods" stage and just Pauses. I have left the computer for over an hour and have tried lots of different servers and it happens on each of them.

Any suggestions?

    Try to unsubscribe mod and subscribe it again then steam shoudl dowoland them

    Open the console and report back what mod it is that it's trying to download as well.

    Try this as well. I had this issue and could not fix it until I deleted Workshop folder in "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Natural Selection 2"

    The AppData folder is hidden. You'll have to enable viewing hidden items to see it.

    Now I actually just deleted the entire Natural Selection 2 folder to reset everything to default, but the Workshop folder should be enough.

    I had the same problem and ended up deleting all content in workshop folder and all mods had to be redownloaded then but that fixed it for me.

    I think at this point it's a matter of trying to find out which mod it is that's causing the issue. At this point to be able to determine this, the only thing I can think of is by disabling all mods and then turning them on one by one.

    i have disabled all mods but it stillo wont log into a game. Also it seems not to matter what mod its trying to download it will just pause after it says it has downloaded the first one . bit annoying
    still working on it, seems like its just me with this problem so it must be something wrong with my computer. might have to do a format . . sigh

    Finally solved the problem - First i had to deleate all mods in appdata\local\natural selection 2 folder , then i changed my location in steam to the correct country and finally ran the verifying game cache files program. next time i logged in it downloaded what was needed and loaded correctly.
