    So I put a fishbowl over my crappy phone lens, but it didn't work. What gives? Do I need to find a flatter bowl?

    Nice post about 'open game development' and cameras.
    I always attributed this term 'open game development' to the term transparency. The company involved exposes a lot more of the decision making process. Due to the explosion of the internet and social media this exposes them to a direct feedback loop to their customers. NS2 may be niche but it is also more aware of the niche it is in than most companies that are niche or are creating niche products.
