Working is over-rated. Only by dedicating majority of work time to studying theoretical NS2 materials and watching comp players matches and tutorial, once can prepare himself for the evening/night NS2 marathon adequately.
That's a pretty awesome skin and I'm not against it at all. TF2 lets you turn off weapon models completely and create binds for toggling them. This wouldn't work so well in NS2 since ammo counters are on the weapons themselves. The option to disable weapon models would be nice either way, and it would work perfectly fine on aliens. An alternative in TF2 is to increase the weapon viewmodel fov, resulting in weapons elongating, yet looking considerably less bulky.
Some of you boys need to get down to earth. Literally. You know, shoveling dirt with equipment. None of that slacking off business there, except on Union-mandated breaks. And Union-mandated safety meetings. Also Union-mandated dirt training. But still.
My perspective might be biased due to the fact I love this skin, however I don't feel it offers any noticeable advantage- Unfortunately there's not enough data on ns2stats to draw any conclusive evidence on whether or not it does.

That post was a (sarcastic) dig at all the people who incessantly quote NS2Stats are the be-all-end-all regarding how balanced the game is at.
I'm surprised you guys didn't see it.
sorry I think I've just lost all faith in the average intelligence of this community so I have no idea what to expect
especially when you consider the original thread is about a holographic weapon model posing a significant advantage when it's a console command in every other shooter
unless the OP is also sarcastic in which case this is way too deep for me; I'm going to see myself out

Why care?
Cheating in my book
But a Steam Workshop whitelisting mechanism would be really needed for other stuff.
I use skins that turn my gun, the walls, and the aliens transparent.
pfft, rookie, I use skins that turn the entire game so transparent I can see my desktop.
oh, and OP..
Why are you watching some ns2 streams at work only today? Why not everyday?
Second reaction: Waaaaaaait, do you mean as in what-do-I-think-in-terms-of-unfair-advantage?
To which I would say:
And for all you peasants yelling OP, cry some moar!
there is much more "creepy" stuff floating around in the workshop : /
dafuq ?! sounds like a nice place to work at xD
im sorry but this doesnt make sense.

Also:
In regards to the OP:
Does the gun have a shimmering effect, or is it just transparent with a blue outline?
