Look at the Floor when a Match Starts

OhnojojoOhnojojo Join Date: 2011-08-01 Member: 113400Members
Its not a big issue, or even a small one at that.
But when I start a match as aliens, the camera always looks towards the floor.
This doesn't happen when I'm a marine.
I mean all I have to do is look up and its such a small issue that iis not even annoying, but I'm wondering if anybody else has had this problem?

I've had the issue where, as marine commander, upon logging out for the first time since a round started I will be looking straight up. This can actually be quite an issue since I will usually need to log out to defend the base.

i've had that issue too and its just odd not really a problem but still. Same with spawning at an IP though if you try and look to move in a direction sometimes it will kinda send you in a random direction instead of the way you wanted to go (like away from the skulk that is biting your ip while you spawn lol)

    I've had that problem too.
I like to look at the infantry portal as I'm logging into a command station so that when I log out to defend, I'll be looking at the IP which is most likely under attack.
But after logging out for the first time as a commander, I'm looking upwards. Doesn't happen when I log out the second time though.

No, I don't use an inverted mouse. Those things have always confused me.

    Isn't that technically a trackball? :p

Lol.. no its not a trackball.
Its the way you think in a 3 dimensional environment, unlike a 2d plane webpage, like a joy- ah nvm i dont want to fuel this particular argument lol.

Yea, i've noticed this bug but chalked it up to inverted mouse. I'll see if its reported, thanks.
In the future report bugs in tech support forums if you can, please.

I remember this argument well. It always ends up with a theoretical stick stabbed into the top of a guy's head.

I like posting bugs on general discussion unless its an exploit.
Cause it gets responses quicker. meh

I've had this issue before, heck it even happened to me in bioshock infinite. Lol

No idea what causes it, I think it has to do with moving your mouse cursor during animation sequences/loading, cause I've had it happen a few times in different games, where I just start the round or level start looking at the ground or up to the sky

Hmm, I don't think thats it.
I've left the mouse alone while the game starts. And it still has me looking at the floor.
Once again, this is only for aliens at match start.

Not sure, I've had it happen at random; actually it could be happening all the time and I just don't notice anymore cause I always position my cursor towards where I want to go at the round start. I'll try and pay attention next time I play and see what I see lol

    But
    a) its the wrong place so it adds clutter / dilutes other important topics when you could have employed b) or c) below.
    b) i dont check GD as much as tech support, and neither do the others who are willing to help you with a matter
    c) you can always just pm me and ask

edit: its not reported, so i'll report it.

I noticed this as well... most of the time as aliens or marines when round start I'm looking straight up or when logging out of comm.... didn't think much of it because it's not that big of a deal.

I play with inverted Y-axis as well on my mouse.

The only times I've noticed this happening are when I'm on a ceiling looking down as the round starts.
