Since the update, the first few minutes of gameplay have a lot of noticable hangs, due to the mentioned function.
The hangs disappear after a few minutes of play, so its running smoothly thereafter, still annoying though.

The game is installed to a very fast SSD (OCZ Vertex 4) and my OS/App config are exactly the same as before when I was not getting these minor framerate hiccups. Like the OP said, they mainly happen at the start of a round, but can sometimes pop up mid-late round, too.
I've done some careful testing, and these hiccups are definitely happening at the same time as my SSD accesses. But like I said, I have not messed with any settings or OS configs. Please look into this, UW.

This time its `RenderParticles::UpdateBufferedState`
But I do see the other `WaitForQueueToEmpty` a lot more often…
