Triggers implemented into NS2?

Just wondering if there were any plans of having triggers put into maps e.g. Switches for closing doors, move platforms, welders to close vents / blast doors etc. It adds a whole new dimension to the style of game play if the map can actually be changed around you to cut off or open up certain parts of the map. I can see scenarios right now of marines trying to fight their way to the bridge of a ship so they can open airlocks to allow them access other areas of a ship or the aliens taking out the power at certain areas to seal off an imminent attack to buy more time.
