Onos attack2?

I'm running around trying out new things with some bots, and I noticed that the Onos now has 2 attacks to choose from. Thing is, I have no idea what the second one is. It's a skull icon, using it makes me slowly crouch down for as long as I hold it, and it drains my energy the whole time I hold it down. As far as I can tell it doesn't actually do anything. What is it?

    That would be Bone Shield. It was added as a researchable ability in the Balance Test mod, not sure what became of it after that (but it seems to have slipped into Build 250)

    Lua code from Balance.lua:
    kBoneShieldEnergyPerSecond = 26
    kStartBoneShieldCost = 10
    kBoneShieldDamageAbsorbPerEnergy = 10

    // bone shield absorbs maximum of 75% damage
    kBoneShieldAbsorbFraction = 0.75

    Wait, bone shield is in b250? Why was this not mentioned in the changelog? :)

    Nah it's just in the beta test not in the vanilla game. He prob had the mod enabled when running the server with bots.

    its not enabled in bt mod or live build, must be another mod

    it IS in build 250, i can confirm it being on listen servers. i believe its a bug, because its only there.

    It's not always there, I think it's a bug that I'm having it show up. No mods, just plain old build 250.

    It only shows up when I have all the lifeform abilities researched and all the spur/veil/shell upgrades maxed out. And even then it isn't always.
