Maps accuracy

It may be just my poor ability to find stuff, but I have a strong impression that certain maps depict vents that are no longer present/accessible in the game. If asked, I can provide specifics, but if I am correct, I am sure others are aware of this. Are there plans to remedy it? I know most experienced players will memorize every nook and cranny really fast, but it still seems like a flaw to me.

In my experience, the vents are always there, just hard to find if youre unfamiliar.

If you could/want, I think a screenshot would be most useful in thiss case.

The vents are not always visible in the map, some vents exist but the map does not show it (I think this happens during the map design, and the map creator forgets to add it to the mini-map - but just guessing).

Other vents can be difficult to find, but usually they are there (I have never seen the mini-map say an vent exists where there is none).

Just to perhaps illuminate how this works from the mapper's perspective:

Vents turn orange on the minimap by selecting the appropriate geometry/props and adding them to a layer in the Spark Editor called 'vents'.

Sometimes you'll get vents that are overtop the main room, though (think the vent in Reactor in ns2_summit). In that case, the mapper will likely also add the geometry to a group called CommanderInvisible (layers and groups are two different things), so the inside of the vent doesn't block the commander's view. When this is done, that section will then not be rendered orange when the minimap is generated.

I know for certain that there is a vent on Descent that looks like it takes you from water treatment to the techpoint room in monorail, but it actually puts you out in the room inbetween silo and monorail.
