while draw damage says 50, one fully charged shot will destroy a clog (or multiple if aligned), I think. if not 1 shot then 2 for sure. no trouble hitting targets through clogs here.

No matter the charge on the shot it will do 50 damage to the clog. Now actually knowing this you can fire multiple shots pretty quickly at minimum strength, each shot shooting through multiple clogs. Any clog wall will fall down rather quickly.
Railgun only does 50 damage to a clog instead of 400 and it also appears to block the death ray from hitting farther targets. Is this intended?

Even if you direct blast a clog with a shotgun or spam grenades at it, the 200hp clog will still take 4 hits to destroy. The reason is that clogs were next to useless in earlier builds because one grenade would decimate an entire wall.

This is partly correct. Clogs can only take a maximum of 50 damage per hit, but each pellet from a shotgun counts as a separate hit and thus it will do full damage. Shotguns are actually rather good at clearing out clogs.
Yup, Shock Absorb is quite handy against burst damage. Aside from Flamethrower being #1 at clearing Clogs, I'd say Shotty and Minigun make the blobs burst quickly too.
Oh, don't forget the Welder. Never underestimate the guy in the back welding people up [-X !

The back guy with welder gets bit first (usually its me being bit). Great work on the new layout of the wiki btw. I have been doing my bit on the tips and strats (will put more stuff up when I have time).

now make it a passive upgrade for lifeforms
better yet, let the gorge put clogs on aliens that block 1 hit (great for shotguns)
