server 999ed me and i can no longer see it

DFA server 999ed me, or that red connection symbol came up, then i tried to reconnect and it could not reach the server. i checked with 2 others, and they were still on it so i restarted the game and tried again.

the steam friendslist had them in game, but when i checked the game details, it says server not responding. The server is also favorited, and it does not show up in the in game server browser.

    I've had this problem mate, can't seem to solve it other than waiting, it seems to go away on its own. I seem to get it frequently if I quit NS2 then quickly start it backup before it syncs with steam or by spam refreshing server lists.

    If other servers are still working, most likely its a serverside error (Server Crash) rather than a problem on your side. Don't fret, they always come back.
