I love this game, i really do, but for a long time ive stayed off the forums. Often i felt the urge to post something here, but it never seemed like a nice place. Why you may ask?... no, you probably wont, because it is obvious. Despite the in-game community being pretty great, the forum community is utterly horrid. All they do is bitch and moan. The game has problems, sure, but does that mean that almost EVERY SINGLE THREAD should be dedicated to complaining?

In almost every other gaming forum i have ever been on, the general discussion section is filled with people talking about things they did in the game, asking questions, and posting screenshots. But here, all people seem to be doing is bitching. The few threads that are not dedicated to complaining are also the least active ones. I find it very annoying, as i would love to discuss this game, but the people here seem to be the worst company imaginable, and i would honestly rather talk to my bloody lizard... at least he wont start spewing out crap about balance issues

    I think these forums are actually pretty good. There's usually some positive passion behind the criticism complaints. Most threads have good intentions and people just want to make the game better for everyone. Sure, there isn't universal agreement about how to accomplish that. However UWEs community interaction promotes people posting ideas bitching and is why junk threads about screenshots sink quick.

    i am sure that there are good reasons behind much of it. But my point is that while the game has problems, they are not nearly as major as people make them seem. And while i can fully accept and understand why they might annoy people, it seems odd that people would be doing so much of that instead of more positive stuff

    Tbh most of the threads with people bitching about inane, pointless things are made by noobs with <10 posts

    You might have a point ;)

    It might be a bit late in the game to change this .. unless mods start actively moving posts into other sections and possibly reword this sections description

    eg. most of the 'complaining' are posts that, if reworded, should probably be in the 'ideas and suggestions' forum ..

    All the posts are about the game though .. posters on the forum are 'all about the game' and 'complaints' are typically people wishing to help make it better .. tbh I'm personally afraid that we can't get people to put in the time initially to LEARN the game first off.. most of my posts are ideas on how to do this or complaints about people who make it hard on new guys to just get into the groove of the game or trying to help people who have problems

    Also the thread is kinda pointless and falls into the category you're actually complaining about... Besides these forums aren't all that bad, try MOBA forums or MMORPG forums ;)
