Bile Kills Health and Ammo

I'm not necessarily saying this for balance's sake, just for consistency. I.E. bile destroys all other marine artifacts, why not medpacks and ammo.

Might be the first and only soft counter to medspam...

    I agree with yehawncgraw.
    NS2 seriously lacks consistency, in my opinion.
    Bilebomb should also kill dropped exosuits and jetpacks.

    How is it not balanced? Can marines kill dropped eggs? Onos eggs cost more than dropped jets and exos...

    Calm down there Socrates, you can introduce new features and then balance. It's not the end of the world.

    At worst, you can balance this aforementioned feature into uselessness by setting the dissolve time to >= the medpack lifespan. More appropriately you should pick the *appropriate* dissolve time.

    I didn't say that this feature couldn't be balanced, but if the only argument for its introduction is consistency, then it's not worth it.

    To me, consistency is as important as balance, this is why I agree with you when you say that consistency shouldn't break balance. But breaking consistency for balance reasons is also a huge error.

    Balance and consistency are not opposed !

    NS2 should have both.
    Actually, before I read this thread I already thought that bile could destroy dropped jetpacks and exos... This is an illustration of the fact that consistency is as important as balance.

    Balance > consistency, unless one has OCD or learning difficulties.

    Balance =/= Consistency and they dont have to be related. You can balance around a consistent experience.
