Wondering if i should change around my keyboard settings. I am left handed so i use my left hand for the mouse, my right hand for the keyboard. Pinkie = space (jump).
I am used to it but i wonder if it's better to change the keyboard settings. Expecially lerking (flap, flap, flap) really destroys my poor pinkie after some minutes of play..
Any other lefties have advice?

It's all about key-binding. The options panel allow you to modify key-bindings. Still; it's somehow poor.
So lets sing my friends:
KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!!
KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!!
KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!!
KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!!
KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!!
KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!!
KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!! KEY-BINDINGS !!!
Reminds me of my left-handed brother playing Jedi Knight like that back in the day. Naturally, i copied him although I'm right-handed ) Figured there was something wrong soon enough and went regular...
disclaimer:
key-bindings will give a better result in every possible way & is cheaper. I just add something extra.
You could get a, rather expensive, mechanical keyboard with atleast a cherry mx red switch on the spacebar. (Usually this means the whole keyboard is red).
Red type very light. Then again, if you dont like the light touch you will have serious problems with such a keyboard.
But seriously, I have been always using pinkie to jump with no problem. It's from the old times where there was a lot of crouching and sneeking in fps games, and I have found out that holding a key with thumb is less tiring and does not block your fingers too much.
Its a long leap of mind, I know
Btw, I bought red switch keyboard recently adn it#s awsesome!!!1 Makes yuo go really fsatr!!! I'll never go back to those soulless rubber-crap mats! Best 50€ I spent in a long while.
I bought a decent but not overly expensive mechanical keyboard. Hope it does anything for me.
I'll experiment with keybindings when it gets here.
