[Linux] Game crashes if texture quality is set to high

Using Linux Mint 13, 32-bit with a Nvidia GTX 660.
Game crashes on game start if texture quality is set to high.
That's pretty much the issue.

    I can confirm this, but the reasoning behind the problem seems to be a memory allocation issue. Once the game hits about 2.2gb, it either crashes or weird things start happening(texture glitches). Interesting enough, Docking is one of the few maps that seems to be affected least by this problem. These lines are usually what is thrown on crashes with memory problems.
    mmap() failed: Cannot allocate memory
    Assertion 'b' failed at pulsecore/memblock.c:454, function pa_memblock_acquire(). Aborting.
