Looking for a new NSL mapper

As the title says, since Mendasp has chosen to leave we are looking for another mapper to help keep the NSL maps up to date and make new ones. Specificly talking about docking and biodome which are most likely going to be included in the upcoming season. Also balance changes wherever needed, tram could for one use some. At first I'd want to try static spawns and see how it plays out before making any larger changes.

    Increasing the platform RT sight line or moving the RT down north tunnels is a less drastic change than a static alien spawn.

    If we do end up with static spawns.. please don't make it alien south. I don't really have a problem with playing aliens from the south side.. but imo south is a much stronger side for Marines. There are less rt's overall but it's much easier to hold them, and that's what counts on that map. You can easily keep the aliens down to three rt's from south side. Platform is a bitch to pressure, but that could be fixed if it's actually deemed a problem.

    We are in dire need of a NSL version of ns2_biodome. Players are not happy about the default performance. I sent a PM to Tig a day or two ago, but haven't got a response yet. It's scheduled to have the default time of the 15th of September. It should be fairly doable. If you wanna help out, let me know.

    I'll ask around and post a message in the group to see if anybody is interested. I can't guarentee anybody will take up the challenge as alot of mappers are busy with their own projects. However, if we could get a break down of just what is involved in making a map 'nsl ready' it may help people decide. Also, I was under the impression that xtc was taking this on.

    To make a NSL version of an official map you have to remove sounds, particles, reduce light amount and other eyecandy that can help improve the performance. Biodome is really performance heavy, all these things would help.
